This touchscreen is designed to fit the top of the original dashboard on Mercedes-Benz G-Class W463 models (2004-2012). As this is an older model, the new screen will operate independently of the vehicle's original display. Some modifications will be necessary, such as connecting the new screen's power supply to a switched power cable so that the new screen turns off when the vehicle is switched off, and vice versa.
