Strength / durability tests:

  • Before your wheels are allowed to safely accompany you on your travels, they undergo an extensive development and testing program. Each wheel design has to pass a variety of endurance tests, based on strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, all of which exceed legal requirements. These include special test routines that simulate real road challenges and material testing in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
  • High-gloss, matte black, or polished rims are subjected to additional testing, such as exposure to highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day variable weather program. Only after passing all the tests can the wheels be included in the Mercedes-Benz original wheel range.
