Please note that these power-retractable side steps are only suitable for Land Rover Defender 90 (3 Door) L663 (2020+) models without fixed side steps. If your vehicle is fitted with fixed side steps, you will need to remove the existing fixed side steps before installing the new power-retractable side steps.
The motors and modules for the retractable electric side steps are included in the delivery for their correct operation.
Please note that installing the power-retractable side steps requires connecting the modules to the vehicle's CAN-BUS line for proper operation when opening and closing the vehicle doors. In some vehicle models, the connection is made directly to the vehicle's OBD interface or to the vehicle's door switch. This work should be performed by a specialized automotive electrical workshop to troubleshoot any malfunctions with the new power-retractable side steps.
The power-retractable side step control modules will deploy the side step on the side the door is opened from.
These power-retractable side steps are available with LED lighting. This LED lighting automatically turns on when the side steps are opened, making it easier to enter and exit the vehicle in low-visibility conditions.
